Homework
Homework reinforces what is learned at school and instills good work
habits. Assignments are generally begun in class, which means students
should always know the directions of their assignments when working on
them at home. Math usually occurs every night, along with spelling and possibly language arts. We will be doing some computer based homework this year using spelling city and google to facilitate this process.
Children should work on written homework for no more than 45 minutes each night, Monday through Thursday. They should also read for a minimum of 20 minutes each night (this is not included within the 45 minute time frame)
If you feel that your child is spending too much or too little time on their assignments, please let me know so I can work with your child toward a solution. Please work with your child to stay on top of long-term projects which will be given thought the year.
