About Me

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Kirk and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher!  It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.  I want to know all about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.

My husband and I are both teachers.  He teaches math at Rocklin High School and has been there since the first year they had a senior class.  I originally began teaching in Elk Grove but my husband soon convinced me to come to Rocklin.  When I first came to Rocklin, I was hired at Valley View and when Sunset Ranch opened a few years later, I was thrilled to move over with many of the teachers and families I already knew.  This will be my 15th year teaching kindergarten.

My husband also coaches football at the high school so I spend many Friday nights at football games.  My other hobbies include hiking, cooking and reading.

Our son, Stefan, just graduated from Chico State with a degree in environmental science and will begin substitute teaching soon.  Our other child is an 8 year old border collie named Ziggy.  I’m sure your child will occasionally get to hear funny stories about Ziggy throughout the year.

I am confident that the Raccoon Class is going to have a fantastic year!!!
